Total Time: 2 minutes
Step 1: Create a list of Cryptocurrencies
In this first step, we begin by inputting the cryptocurrency we want to track in Excel. As mentioned above, we need to use the Cryptocurrency + Price Currency. In our example, I’m showing BTC, ETH, and XRP in USD and EUR.
Step 2: Create a Table
Make sure you have a title in Cell A1. I chose “Crypto” since this example is strictly tracking crypto investments.
Highlight column “A1-A6” and go to “Insert” then “Table”
Step 3: Convert to Stocks
Once the table in created, go to “Data” then select “Stocks”
This will automatically convert the information in column A to stock formats.
Step 4: Format Crypto Tracking Results
Once the cells are formatted into stocks, Excel will pull in live data. You can add additional columns by selecting the “Add Column” box in the right hand corner.
